Frequently-asked Questions
What are my chances of entering HCI in 2009? Top students have an excellent chance of entering Hwa Chong this year, provided they list Hwa Chong as First Choice. This is because some of our traditional feeder schools have gone IP, and so more places are available.
What is the cut-off point for admission to Hwa Chong? The cut-off point can vary from year to year based on the results of students who apply. For the 2008 JAE, the cut-off point was 3 for both Science and Arts (after CCA and loyalty bonus deductions). With a single intake in 2009, the 2 loyalty bonus points (from first three months) are no longer awarded. THUS YOU STAND AN EXCELLENT CHANCE IF YOU PUT HWA CHONG AS FIRST CHOICE.
