Hwa Chong is Top Performing School for 2 years running at Singapore Chemistry Olympiad; Hwa Chong's Lin Yuqun wins Best Student Award
Hwa Chong students have done the school proud by winning the coveted Best Team Award (2 consecutive years) and Best Student Award in the 20th Singapore Chemistry Olympiad.
Our students won an impressive total of 20 medals including 9 Golds, 8 Silvers and 3 Bronzes.
An annual competition for the country's best minds in Chemistry, the Singapore National Chemistry Olympiad is jointly organised by the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC), National University of Singapore and the Ministry of Education.
The Best Student Award is given to the entrant with the highest overall score and the Best Team Award is given to the school with the highest combined score of its best 3 entrants.
We congratulate our Chemistry teachers and students for their commendable achievements, and look forward to Hwa Chong students representing Singapore in the 41st International Chemistry Olympiad at Cambridge, England in 2009!
